Sherrier's Enrichment and Mental Health and Wellbeing Support

At Sherrier C of E Primary School, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of all our pupils and staff. We appreciate that at times everyone experiences life challenges that can make us feel vulnerable and anyone may require additional emotional support. We believe that promoting positive mental health is everybody’s responsibility and that we all have a role to play.  We also understand that a curriculum which offers a range of enrichment and first hand experiences give our children further engagement to support their learning. You can find out what we offer at Sherrier under the 'Enrichment' Tab.

At our school we:

  • help children to understand their emotions and feelings better

  • help children feel comfortable sharing any concerns or worries

  • help children socially to form and maintain relationships

  • promote self-esteem and ensure children know that they count

  • encourage children to be confident and ‘dare to be different’

  • help children to develop emotional resilience and to manage setbacks

  • signpost parents/carers to relevant information and external support

Please see below a flow chart which shows how Sherrier provide support and provision for children with Mental Health and Wellbeing:
